Support for Older Versions of Windows 11Ends on October 13th

Think of your computer's operating system (Windows) like the locks on your front door. Microsoft regularly sends out little "security updates" that fix weak spots before burglars can find them. But once a version of Windows gets too old, Microsoft stops sending those fixes.
Windows 11 was released in 2021. There have been 25 major updates over the years.
Best case scenario: If you don't update, your computer keeps running just fine for a while — nothing changes right away.
Worst case: Without those fixes, your computer becomes an easier target for hackers and viruses, which can mean stolen information, a frozen or broken system, or costly repairs down the road. Older software may also stop working properly, and Microsoft won’t be able to help you if something goes wrong.
